Our Privacy Policy is very simple, because we have no interest in tracking you. We don’t like being tracked ourselves, and we have much better things to do than tracking you.
Cookies
We only use technically necessary cookies. If you decide to change the theme to “Dark Mode”, a cookie is saved on your device, so that your choice is remembered when you move on to another page. That cookie is invalidated when your browser session ends.
Embedded content from other websites
Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, maps, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.
We use online maps from mapbox.com, which are served by an external server. According to our tests, at the time of writing, they did not save tracking cookies on the visitor’s device.
Who we share your data with
We don’t store your data, besides anonymized, self-hosted statistics, so there is nothing that we could share with third parties.
Analytics
We use a self-hosted installation of Matomo, open-source analytics software focused on user privacy. The last two octets of your IP-Address are anonymized. We use Matomo to count the views, analyze traffic sources and measure the progress of our website. We don’t track visitors across domains and we don’t share the collected visitor information with third parties.

If you decide to send us a message using the contact form, your message will be stored on our computers, so that we can process your inquiry and send you a reply, if necessary.
Where we send your data
Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
